Black Friday is now just under a month away, yet some of the best Black Friday gaming monitor deals will start to pop up much earlier than that. With Amazon Prime Day just barely in the rearview mirror, retailers are starting to ramp up deals to get ahead of competitors and get you to pick yourself up a deal early. From basically the start of November, you will see some pretty great sales on the best monitors. With the holidays just after it, Black Friday is one of the biggest deals events of the year, and that’s usually for good reason.

Here, we have curated the best deals currently available and, most importantly, what their usual price is and if they’re in stock. It can be easy to get caught up in the price of all those deals during Black Friday that you forget what they’re worth year round so this should help prepare you for the big day and give you the best deals to keep an eye on. As well as that, it should help you decide which kind of monitor is right for you and your setup.

It’s all well and good buying a 4K 120Hz gaming monitor if you’re running an RTX 4090, but pair that with even a rock-solid mid-range card and you won’t get very far. It’s all about finding that sweet spot.

For most mid-range PC setups, we recommend 1440p at 144Hz or higher. That’s a good blend of clarity, fidelity, and speed to keep most gamers comfortable, no matter what they play. The other option, for the more competitive gamer, is a 1080p 240Hz gaming monitor. You’ll be choosing speed over fidelity, but if you’re largely playing Valorant or CS2, that’s your best bet.

If you can afford to, and your GPU can take it, ultrawide gaming monitors offer a sublime experience. They’re engrossing and even serve to benefit your competitiveness in some games that support ultrawide aspect ratios—you often literally have a wider view of the playing field than those playing 16:9.

Finally, 4K is where it’s at. These days you can buy a fast 4K monitor that can also claim to offer an excellent picture quality—you can have your cake and eat it. It’s an expensive venture—you not only need a 4K monitor but a 4K-capable graphics card—but it really is a gorgeous resolution to game at.

When is Black Friday 2024?

Black Friday will take place on the final weekend of November, which this year falls on November 29, 2024. The sales will continue after Black Friday into Cyber Monday, on December 2.

You will see deals going from the start of November all the way until December but the main event on the Friday, plus the day before and after, is what you want to look out for. Being such a choreographed event, some retailers try to get there early with great deals and you might be able to snap up an early deal if you get there early enough.
